Background

I’m a Principal Change Designer focusing on sustainable value chains and livelihoods.

Prior to joining Forum, I managed Net-Works, a collaboration between ZSL, Interface and small-scale fishing communities in the Philippines, Cameroon and Indonesia. Net-Works is a community-based supply chain for recycled fishing nets that establishes village savings groups to enable local conservation action and sustainable livelihoods, and contributes to Interface’s bold sustainability strategy.

Having studied BA Economics and MSc International Development Management, I have worked throughout my career on bridging the gaps between the international development, environment and business sectors through cross-sector partnerships, systems change, evidence-based action and community-driven solutions.

I have managed projects across Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia including actionable research on agroforestry with smallholder cotton farmers in Zambia, strategy and business model development for FSC-certified timber harvesting and forest protection in Tanzania, strategic analysis of facilitated collective action in Rwanda, assessment of rural education and scaling-up of community water systems in India, and strategy development and futures thinking for international development NGOs.

I love collaborations, community-led models, and business models that build communities, economies and ecosystems that are equitable, biodiverse, resilient and inclusive.

What floats my boat outside work?

Building and making things (woodworking, pottery, sewing, embroidery) reading, growing veg at the community farm that I’m part of, and generally being outdoors, whether that’s camping, hammocking, cycling, walking or paddling in the canoe I built with my partner.
