Bruce McCombie is a philanthropy and partnerships leader with almost 20 years of experience working across the UK, Europe and globally. He has advised philanthropists, foundations, corporates and investors on how to direct capital for greater impact, and has helped forge alliances and funding models that support social innovation and long-term systems change. 

Currently at Synergos, Bruce leads engagement with philanthropic families across Europe, the Middle East and Africa through the Global Philanthropists Circle, a community focused on collaboration and systems change. Earlier in his career, he led major partnerships at Unreasonable Group to help scale entrepreneurial solutions to the world’s most pressing social and environmental challenges, and spent a decade at Pilotlight supporting charities to strengthen their leadership and strategy. 

Bruce brings deep experience in fundraising, strategic partnerships and network building. He serves in Trustee and advisory roles and is particularly passionate about youth opportunity and the role of capital in enabling a just and regenerative future. He is committed to inclusive leadership and reimagining how philanthropy can rise to meet the complexity and urgency of this moment. 

Originally from Scotland, Bruce has lived and worked in Canada and Japan and is now based in London.
